The Organisation of American States (OAS) is given as an example in the FATF definition of International organisations.[R1.1][R2.1] The intention of the FATF definition appears to be to capture institutions and agencies of larger international organisation as institutions of the European Union are given as an example. For this reason, organs of the OAS have been assessed as meeting the FATF definition.
